Projekt „Wieża Babel” – uczestniczki „Festiwalu Piękna” z wizytą w MOK

Prezydent Ludomir Handzel spotkał się w Miejskim Ośrodku Kultury z uczestniczkami „Festiwalu Piękna” – Miss Supranational 2021. Okazją do spotkania był międzynarodowy projekt „Wieża Babel”, w którym spotykali się ludzie mówiący różnymi językami, pochodzący z różnych kultur i wyznający różne religie.

Wzięli oni udział w pięciu interdyscyplinarnych konkurencjach:

„Smaki świat”
„Żywioły świata”
„Etiudy teatralne”
„Cztery Pory Roku”
„Śpiewać każdy może.. po polsku”

Na zakończenie spotkania prezydent Ludomir Handzel podziękował wszystkim uczestnikom za wizytę w Nowym Sączu i wręczył im upominki.

- It is a great pleasure to be here today, with so much beauty around – the beauty of friendship, culture, positive emotions and being together. I am immensely happy, that despite language and cultural differences, we as human beings can unite and work together, in order to make something special. Guests from all over the world gathered here today, so as to create and craft with children and young people from Nowy Sącz. It is a great example of how friendship and goodness know no boundaries. These values meet here, in Nowy Sącz, on this wonderful project. Its name, the Tower of Babel, originates from a biblical story. By calling the project so, we wanted to show, that in the multitude of languages that can be heard here today, we respect and value each of them. Our words, traditions and appearances may differ, but those differences make the world a truly rich and wonderful place. I feel personally proud and happy, because in these days my town has become the capital of real beauty represented by these values. As a reminder for the future of this beautiful day, I would like to give every participant a small souvenir from Nowy Sącz. Let it bring up warm memories from your visit to our town – mówił prezydent Ludomir Handzel.
